Advent Destiny - a Gundam SEED RPG

Today marks the fourth year that Advent Destiny has been around.

On behalf of the Advent Destiny Team, I thank all members for their support all these years. Due to an unexpectedly hectic schedule in real life, I haven't had the time to plan something special for our birthday. To be honest, I'm also not in the mood to. Michael Jackson is my idol and his untimely death has affected me. RIP MJ.

This anniversary will be rather quiet this year. However, it is still a milestone and something we should celebrate.

Here's to a better year ahead for everyone, both in RL and in the RP.

AD fanon

If you have been itching to write AD fanon, meaning fan-fiction based on the Advent Destiny world, this is for you.

I would like to encourage all members to write their own fan-fiction. This could be based on your own character or a character that you created specifically for an event in the past.

Do not use CE canon characters! This means that any characters that appear in the show should not be used. You may still refer to some of them but you may not use them as a lead character. For example, your character could have been serving in the First Bloody Valentine War with Mu La Flaga. You may have minimal interaction with him just to immerse your character in that time and setting.

Other than that, you can be creative.

Fanon to canon

We want you, the players, to create a more in-depth back story for the world of Advent Destiny. If the fanon are well written, they will be published on the main site. Fanon that are well written and are deemed fit to be incorporated into the story will be inducted as canon. Canon stories will be published on the main site as well.

Why contribute?

This is a good writing practice for you.

You get to have a say in events that happened in the past.

You can expand on your character's history and write short stories that would give readers an even better idea of your character's past.

Four unidentified mobile suits attacked the international investigation team that was visiting a factory in the USSA. The delegates were treated for minor injuries and have been placed under heavy police protection. The identity of the assailants are still unknown.

This is to update the list of active characters. I have sent out an email to all members regarding this member. If they still wish to use their character, they will have to come back to AD and let us know. If they do not reply by May 30, 2009, the characters will be available for others to adopt.

Beta Battle Royale

Type: LMS (Last man standing)

Description:
The Beta Battle Royale is a tournament between teams of 3. The team with the last man standing will proceed to the next round. We are only accepting a maximum of 4 teams for this trial run.

Rules:
Each team will be given 3 mobile suits in each round. They will have to assign a suit to each member. A player is considered to have been knocked out if their suits are disabled or if they are forced to eject. The battle will end when all members of a team has been knocked out.

Just yesterday, authorities cornered the culprits of various robberies and terrorist activities to an abandoned house in the far eastern suburbs of Kusanagi.

Police raided the house at midday and were confronted with minimal gunfire. But when terrorists backed to the last room, police were threatened with a room full of domestic explosives.

FREE Forces were called in by the Police Chief to organize an immediate evacuation of civilians within a kilometer of the area.

In a stalemate, Terrorists triggered an external diversionary vehicle explosion to escape from police.

They bounded eastward through a local tunnel in two black vans only to be tracked by a pair Murasames on patrol upon exit where both vans swerved and rammed off the cliff railings.

The bodies of the terrorists and remains of their escape vehicles are currently being salvaged. 

There have been several reports of members who are unable to log into AD. Upon entering their username and password, these members see the "Thank you for logging in..." message and get directed to the forum not logged in.
