Lessanna is a rather playful person in all aspects of life, having a good time doing something is almost always much more fun that the thing itself. Fun being the overriding factor in everything she does matched up with a bright and sunny personality she uses as a shell. Still inside that shell is a girl that doesn’t really have problems or a reason to hide. Someone that loves being with people but is just a little more reserved on the inside than the out. With this happy go lucky mindset she mostly just lives her life for the fun of it and sees what happens next. At the same time though she loves pushing boundaries to see how much she can get away with.

For the most part Less is a warm, caring, soft-hearted, and mostly generous person, there are times of course when the opposite is true. She has an overwhelming interest in people and often seeks out company while doing anything. Without the people in it her life, same as most lives, would be meaningless, people make everything more interesting. While being a very nice person she can be reactive and prone to mood swings with a fierce temperament. Still her friends mostly describe her as sympathetic and comforting person who is always there for them, unless they really upset her. Even when people do upset her after the initial response Less doesn’t many hold grudges. Generally people must have a reason for acting the way they do even if she doesn’t agree or see why. She doesn’t believe anyone is mean or evil just for the sake of it. Really she doesn’t care as long as they are showing her respect and attention. To really wind her up people only need to have a lack of both. But as long as the person involved does then she’s happy with any race, religion or creed though she hasn’t been exposed to that many. Due to being so dependent on people Less finds it pretty hard to function on her own. She almost requires other people to focus her and her performance falls drastically when she’s alone.

She is very competitive with her siblings but it’s not really very successful in making her advance. With her brother’s natural ability and her sister’s almost scary need to learn and huge intellect she needed to find a new ways to impress. She has felt in that past that she was living in her siblings shadows that she had no control over her own life. Having to take the challenges given rather than choose them she had had to react to life rather than being allowed to make her own choices. This oppression for quite a while was a very dominating aspect of her personality but now less so, though it can still be seen in things her parents will like joining the military. This is the reason she often uses to rebel with, she has gotten quite fond of rebelling, not too useful in her preselected career.

The structure of the military doesn't suit her too well. She tends to be vocal in expressing her opinions and wishes and more than once has that got her in trouble with instructors. Being a dominant personality she can create a commanding, take-charge social presence even though at times it can be seen as overbearing, stubborn or even plain argumentative. One of the instructors considered her trying to subvert his command by doing this, she sort of meant to at the time though. In addition to her questioning authority for attention Lessanna will also do it to make a point. If she feels she is in the right or that the system needs to change she won’t hesitate to make it very clear to whoever is involved. The system while she doesn’t like it needs to work as well as it can, in spite of her rather than with her direct help. This nature and slight superiority complex means she isn’t and never will be the most popular person within a social structure. That she can live with though, she doesn’t want to be the most popular, just popular enough to support her wishes. The existence of this assertive person in a cute frame came about of a need to strive, to be better than other people in the past. She thought back then that it would gain her parents approval, now she doesn’t want that and has learnt to relax much more. Still it is ingrained in her mind and she still tried to be the centre of attention she enjoys being.

Not to everyone does she come across and as the dominate controlling person that grew from her past. Knowing how she can appear she does hide it fairly often so new people don’t get pushed away, she’d hate for that to happen. Less even takes it further than that quite often pretending to be something she isn’t just to be around people and be liked a little more. Even though she shouldn’t care as much now she still wants people to like her, well most people. That does conflict with her confident appearance but that is just one part of her. The fact is she is very scared of being alone and will do anything to prevent it, this is why she pays so much attention to the people around her. To be able to keep them around her, to protect herself.

While one part of her tries to draw the people closer another draws herself towards them. The real Less goes to the people rather than the fake her which pulls them to her. This real her is very energetic and almost incapable of settling down. Again this caused her a lot of problems in both school and in the academy where settling down and not making a fuss was very important. Due to being so excitable she can be very impulsive and not always the most reliable person, but again she needs that excitement. When there is something she can’t get excited about and more so when she had to do it alone she loses enthusiasm quickly. She becomes bored and allows her extensive imagination take over, basically to daydream. This lack of reliability is compounded by her lack of care about rules or regulations causing more conflict between Less and her teachers. Without direct guidance she will rarely make the choice that is the most effect in terms of getting work done, much rather doing it the interesting way. This does mean that doesn’t make the best uses of her time to be really efficient she needs someone looking over her shoulder. There is one way around this though. Under pressure with the right focus or danger factor she can be very concentrated and just how creative she can be comes to light. Most people wouldn’t see her in an actual life or death situation so you’d be forgiven for not realising.

She is socially bold, outgoing, gregarious and adventurous due to her confident nature. Fearless in the face of new or intimidating social settings and capable making new friends easily she can get along with anyone if she wants to. If she want to being the optimum part, when she doesn’t find the person interesting what is the point in making friends with them? Really she does quite a bit for her own benefit; she doesn’t make friends just because they are there too often. She makes a lot as to feed her craving for attention as her need is quite high, so in the lack of other people she will be very social with less interesting people. With people she trusts Less isn’t afraid to say what she feels when she can get away with it and sometimes when she can’t. If it’s a bad thing that gets her into trouble gets her the attention she desires then she’ll get into it. But it isn’t to spite anyone and people she wrongs shouldn’t take it personally. The attention seeking is mostly stemmed from a feeling of inadequacy compared to her two siblings one in his athletic feats and the other for her intelligence. Not being able to or wanting to surpass them she found her own creative outlet. She considers it inferior to the other two still in her head so she doesn’t feel she deserves or gets the praise her siblings do. This is the reason why she doesn’t often bring it up unless pressed.

With strangers and people that she is moderately friendly with Less shows a more cutesy side. Her appearance along with pretty good acting skills allows most people to assume that this is her normal attitude. Which she has kept up for so long as sort of stuck to her. Those that get closer can dig away from the overly confident girl and find one which is filled with her own troubles and struggles to express them. But in that layer is a very good friend who is willing to help you out whatever the cost. She tends trusts people quite easily which can be a problem, even though good at reading people if she was too excited by a prospect someone could quite easily take advantage of her. All they have to do is create a situation which she find fun and she would go along with it. Being sheltered Less actually doesn’t expect people to be like that in a naive kind of way.

When not coming across as a socially obsessed hyper monster she can be seen to have another natural layer just under the one doted with fake effects. One in which is a mature emotionally sensitive and intuitive girl that seems to be very kind. She is attuned to feelings being fairly empathetic, sympathetic, and tender. This can be seen from the muddle of her personality best through the girl’s art which she used to vent her more secretive emotions. Though good she doesn’t like letting people see it most of the time, either in pencil or reality. This is in part because she doesn’t believe it’s good enough but mostly that she doesn’t want everyone to know her inner feelings. Her talent shouldn’t be under estimated though; she is very creative with good motor skills and an almost perfect eye. The key is an imagination so active that she can entertain herself for days at a time and leads her to make very wild assumptions. This does mean that she can come up with very complex plans and idea and enjoys doing just that. The problem is that often she will get bored of the idea before anything comes of it, moving onto the next brainwave then the next. This can leave her on the points when she is on her own and not concentrating on people to being incredibly unfocused and absent minded. Her ideas don’t always have any bearing on what is physically practical in any way and are often so silly not even worth being noted by anyone else. Something she plays with sometimes, after all being ditzy can be cute and being cute gets attention.

As a soldier she is quite honourable, treating it more like a game than a real grim job, she doesn’t feel right accepting that so tends to hide from it. That goes for destroying other mobile suits but there isn't much reason to if they are no damager, retreating or surrendering. She’ll follow orders and generally carried them out fully but if there was something she had to question about it she’ll do so. She can be quite a passionate combatant, taking the battle personally and that does make it interesting. It isn’t that she wants to get into dangerous fights but they are more interesting, but she isn’t stupid and doesn’t want to die. She does take risks though, not having the best gauge of her own abilities and that has gotten her in trouble biting off more than she can chew. The reasons for fighting are quite clear to her, to protect people and stop other's coming to harm, noble sentiments really. There is good and bad bits, helping people and maybe killing others but she'll take it as it comes. If her siblings can do it she can't see a reason why she can't. She never really bought into the propaganda but she does see ZAFT in a positive light over the rest of the worlds militaries, she isn't above a little patriotism.

Lessanna for the most part seems pretty forthright, revealing at least a distorted image of her thoughts while seeming pretty transparent. Its true to a level, she does let people know a lot of what she’s thinking. That leaves out a lot of what she’s feeling meaning that as a subject it doesn’t come up that much. True she shows emotion a lot but most of them are for show to get attention and trick people’s feelings about her. But with being bold she doesn’t really have any true tactfulness unless it’s really required and the sakes are high. This means she isn’t always the best person to turn to in a personal crisis.

She likes to talk about herself and other people, rather skilfully moving conversations to finding more out about other people. Though not overly confident of herself on the inside on the out she puts on quite a show. She also isn’t really worried about anything out of her control taking a very laid back approach to life while keeping all of her cares for her own appearance. It only really matters if she feel that she’s being ignored by people, then she will take direct action. The other time she will do something is when she’s bored, which unfortunately happens a lot, so life isn’t that steady around her in the least. Generally she’s not worried about how things will sort themselves out as they nearly always seem to get fixed regardless of what anyone does. But she is happy to change and try new things if the situation changes to make her need too. Lessanna is quite disorganised and messy not really feeling a need to clean thing up or write down important events. As long as she knows where everything is, if it wasn’t important enough to remember then it couldn’t be that important anyway.

When it comes to people there are a group of them she treasures as much as she hates them, her family. Her parents while almost never being around in any of her memories had always been there when she really needed them. Most of the rest of the time they were not though, leading to there being quite a distance between them. Unlike her sister she doesn’t place such a major role in impressing her parents any more having given up on that idea a few years ago. Its not that they asked too much of either of them but both children felt the expectations they had to fulfil the same way after their brother’s success. They started off doing the same thing but her sister managed to overtake her in most skills she could be proficient in. This was in no way means Less was stupid but is more a testament to her sisters abilities. Taking the odd playful revenge on her was all that really came of it though. That and the fact that the inside hidden Less resents her family for it. That doesn’t shake the fact that she is very close to her siblings though and really looks forward to spending time with them which is less and less often these days. She does look up to both of them in her own way. One that is shown mostly by her excited reaction when around them and frequent pining for them when not. Unlike her other siblings being the youngest has allowed her some more freedoms. She is much less inhibited when it comes to being physical with people, be it hugs or holding hands. This mostly stems from being subjected to, “Aw she’s so cute,” followed by hugs of relatives and family friends for most of her life.

Being quite confident, happy with relationships and comfortable with human contact Less has and a few relationships. The problem is that guys don’t quite get what’s written on the tin. Wanting a cute klutz they end up with someone which isn’t really what she pretends to be, so her last and only three relationships have been quite short. Once the guys finds out that she is in fact a capable young woman more than able to look after herself and not a pushover for them to play hero to. So none of the guys she’s been with have stuck, she blames that on not really appealing to the right kind of guy and the fact most guys are pigs. Being comfortable and confident as well as being quite taken by the idea of it Less has had sex with two of her boyfriends in the last two years. Its not a huge part of a relationship but it is a lot of fun, she is quite happy to just have sex for sex’s sake rather than as part of a relationship, though the latter is preferable. She also doesn’t mind talking about it, though she would never dare tell her parents their cute little girl gets up to some quite naughty things.

Personal History:

On the 24th of October Wendy and Owen Hollis had their final child, a daughter they called Lessanna. They already had two other children, their four year old son Maxy and two year old daughter Roxanna. Wendy who had taken quite a bit of time off when she had her other two children now spent only a little while mothering her youngest leaving her in the office crèche quite often with her sister. As they grew older they were in school together though the age difference made things a little difficult between the two at first. Over time they grew very close and spending almost all their free time with each other.

They shared a room once Less was old enough for a proper bed, Roxanna with the top bunk while her younger and not quite capable of managing ladders sister took the bottom. That was their living arrangements for the next ten years, the two talking to each other about their problems and first sharing their interests. They played outside a lot and despite being youngest Less was the most adventurous of the trio of children. Once she could she was the first to try and climb trees while her brother competed with her. Leaving Roxanna watching after them worried that they would fall to their deaths. But they didn’t die despite a few scrapes and scratches that were tended too by the responsible one. That was how they grew up contented in their own world and this was more so for Less. Unlike her siblings she had no understanding of what was going on around them in the war years. Just that something call the Naturals that she imagined akin to a goblin from the stories her sister read her was fighting a war against them. So they were sending people like daddy and giant robots to scare them away. She made her older sister check under her bed for Naturals for a few weeks despite her trying to explain it to her.

As she grew up she grew apart from her sister and started to understand the world that she was growing up in. Still they were very close but they had markedly different interests now. Lessanna moved onto more social based activities with her friends from school while her sister started more solitary ones. That didn’t change the fact that every night they would still stay up talking to each other and that they loved each other very much. It was her brother that she distanced the most from but still even they were very close. Family always has and most likely always will matter a lot to Lessanna. Friends were also important though, in school she had a large group of them and spent a lot of time when she should have been working playing around. If it wasn’t for her sister’s help she would have failed school completely. It isn’t that she can’t do the work it’s that she finds most of it quite boring; she doesn’t have the focus to get stuck into most subjects. Art and English were just about all she really settled on but she managed to get along quite well with PE and IT. The former because of her brother and the fact it was fun and the latter as it could be used to make games.

Lessana quite enjoys computer games and forced her siblings to play from time to time. They allow a bit of a creative outlet as well as an escape from everyday life, but mostly as they are just fun to play. That makes them pretty high on her list of things to do compared to anything else. Her favourite types are shooters and RPG games, the faster and more action filled the better. It requires quite something to get her to sit down for an extended period to play though; being excitable comes with a shorter timeframe before things become boring. The concept of computer games helped her get quite interested for a while at least in programming them and leant enough to manage to take care of various systems.

Throughout school while making the most of hanging out with her friends over lessons Less managed to hold an average scoring in exams. Her parents first started to really scold her about this when she was twelve. She was the first of the children to be treated this way, her brother was already training in the academy and her sister was one of the top students in the school. She was really a disappointment to her parents compared to them and being grounded and after several heated arguments she was persuaded to change her priorities. This meant less time having fun and more time being spent semi unproductively on lessons she hated. But she did okay, better than before and ended up leaving school adequately. As part of a rebellion on her part in her final year of school she started being a lot more adventurous when it came to her personal relationships.

She’d had “boyfriends” before but she didn’t really count holding hands and the odd kiss as a relationship. Her first was a boy in her year but not her class that asked her out. Based more on her looks as his projected beliefs in what she was than an actual attraction to her it was doomed to fail from the start. While it started off pretty well and Less kept up the act of being cute it didn’t last to long. Once it became more serious more of her came to the surface and the boy who was really just interested in his fantasies of what he wanted drifted away from her. She did have feelings of a sort for him and it was as they drifted away they had sex. Her first time was awkward, quick and mostly unsatisfying but it served to make her feel more grown up and more in control. It was a few days after that they broke up in a pretty mutual manner and that was that. It wasn’t long before she was back with someone. This time a student in his final year who had already gone through two girlfriends. An attractive guy and quite with a nice personality to boot she was quite interested in him herself. So after he asked her out Less was very happy to spend time with him, learning some lessons from before. Now she was more of herself though not completely and really she regretted that later.

This relationship lasted for nine months compared to the three of her last. With a more experienced partner and generally a nicer person she was much more comfortable. They had a full proper relationship that lasted a long time and she did love him for a while. But again really she got bored of it, so did he. He took his fancy to another younger girl and as almost a repeat of before they just grew apart. Unlike her last this one created a lot of broken and hurtful feelings. Ones that she really learnt from thought since then hasn’t really had a serious relationship, it hadn’t really felt right at first and then she liked being single. Both of these were hidden from her parents, not feeling that they would be very happy at all with their cute little princess being up to such things.

Then the time came for her to do the same as her siblings had. Her sister following their brother and him following their fathers wishes she again didn’t have a whole lot of choice. She had enough of the skills to do it and really respected both her siblings for doing it. So when she finished school she signed up, her father was proud and she might get to spend more time with her sister again. She hasn’t changed that much over the last few years. Still a big kid that gets too excited and would rather be with people having fun than getting any work done.

Could you tell a little more about her feelings for the military? Not why, but what she thinks and her perception of it. You gave some info about her ability to command, but not how she felt about the actual combat. Does she see it as the false propaganda? The real truth about it?
