This looks good! Though they should come up with a mono-eyed design to get it to look right.

I'd say take it up from where we left off - however the crux of it may be how we'd be able to incorporate everyone in especially the newer ones~

and for others thats been around for a bit *coughlikemecough* - we need to dig up our old characters

Well I'm all for the idea, I just wish to ask if ZAFT will be as structured and well laid out as it was in the past? Having actual ranks, proper command structure, Proper units and squadrons, ect. Just because I believe that would attract a few RPers I know who have a love for all things related to Zeon XD. But yeah, I'm all for this, gives me a chance to write up a new character and such.

    10th anniversary of SEED RPG!
This weekend was a special occasion for the veteran members. SEED RPG turned 10 years old on 4 July!
When we first created SEED RPG, it was something we did out of our passion for the Gundam SEED series. We did not anticipate a decade later, that the community is still alive and keen to tackle the universe again.
As some of you probably know, I met up with @Konigstiger last month when I visited the Philippines. We had a long heartfelt chat about the state of affairs and the direction we want to take Advent Destiny. We agreed that it rather than go down the ambitious route of creating a world from scratch, it would be more feasible to bring back the Cosmic Era setting that we had.
It was always a tall order to test out a new system and role-play structure with an original storyline that none of us are familiar with. So instead of jumping into the deep end, we will put our RP and website systems on trial using the SEED setting that we know so well. However, the question still remains on how this should be done.
A direct continuation of where we left off is tricky, since we would be dropped in the midst of a crisis without the major characters involved. So I propose that we start with at a certain point in a storyline where our existing pool of players can choose the roles they wish to play. Any suggestions?

Bergeron Levesque [WIP] With Other Ideas
Finally got the password reset, didn't work the other few times I tried. Someone got into my account a posted with it a while back. I made another one I was going to use incase I count get back into this one (3lvis24). But, I tried the password reset option and it worked this time.
Anyways, this is a character and company idea I was playing with. I am a big fan of the new AD format, I had a forum I was working on a while ago after the original AD died that used a Cowboy Bebop-like setting and transportation, except with custom Mobile Suits and whatnot. I really like this new format, if I can repeat it without sounding like a mad man.
So this is Bergeron Levesque, he's a character I whipped up while thinking over some ideas. Originally, he was going to be the Co-Leader of an illegal arms maker, but I opted out of that idea in favour of a smuggler (Star Wars-like).
I'd like some suggestions on this. It's not official or anything, just me messing around. Might bring back Matthew into this universe if I did come back.

    Full name: Bergeron Norfolk Levesque
    Alias: Representative Levesque/Captain Ron
    Faction: Kwantus Drive Foundation
    Rank: Captain/Company Representative
    Age: 35
    Sex: Male
    Height: 173 CM, 5 Foot 9 Inches
    Weight: 200 Pounds
    Eyes: Brown
    Hair: Brown
    Skin: Caucasian
    Handiness: Right Handed
    Personality
Bergeron is the kind of person that always tries to hide their emotions. This is not because he doesn't want to seem weak or vulnerable, but it is because he feels it makes him a better candidate for the role of representing the Kwantus Drive Foundation. Despite his cold exterior, Bergeron is the type of leader who wishes for nothing but the best of his company and it’s workers.  His outer emotions are often described as being an unbreakable barrier, that nothing can damage or harm.

On the inside however, deep beneath his unbreakable barrier, Bergeron is a cowardly weasel, as most businessmen are. He does his very best and uses his words to try and avoid conflict if at all possible. While this can be seen as good for the company, it’s just because deep inside, Bergeron fears death and will do anything in his power and outside of it, to avoid it, even if that means stepping on the shoes of another or putting his own people at risk, despite wanting the best for his company and it’s workers.

Bergeron is always trying to expand his company and gain more customers and power. Whenever possible, he and his crew will take on lucrative illegal smuggling missions, all for the sake of Bergeron increasing his reputation. Bergeron even tries to weasel his way into positions by faking respect and kindness.

Ever since Bergeron was a teenageer has always had an odd attachment to older technologies that others just see as garbage.

    Strengths and weaknesses
Bergeron’s strengths have always lied within his cold exterior and emotions, in combat, when his life or ship is in danger. Bergeron turns into a drone-like machine, whose only goal is to prevent damage to his goods and see his mission to the end, even if it means doing what isn't usually seen as “good”. Even if that is a strength, it can always be seen as a weakness, due to the way he fights, and works, those around him enough eventually come to see his ways of doing things are very logical and real, and often easily pick up and know exactly how he operates. This is an extreme disadvantage in combat situations where an enemy can easily predict his combat style if they encounter him multiple times. Another notable strength is Bergeron’s creativity, he often uses this in combat or when overseeing the construction of junk. Bergeron, while cold and hard, can always be broken apart when his life is in immediate danger, this is even to the point he would sacrifice workers and friends if for example a gun was pointed to his head. After all, when it comes to his own life and living it out, that is all that matter to him.

    Appearance
Bergeron is a tall, medium built individual with short hair and brown eyes. He is average in height and has no features that distinguish him from anyone else. One can say he’s the perfect example of the average Caucasian male.

He often and is almost always seen wearing the custom Kwantus Drive Foundation Captain uniform he had made for himself. When not seen wearing that, he wears grey, pink and white.

    Company Levels
When you create a company, you can pick a suitable class based on the size of the company. There are no restrictions as long as you are able to justify how it came about the resources.
You are able to grow the company and increase its level. However, it needs to maintain the achievements or risk being demoted. Each company can only progress by one level at a time. Achievements cannot be reused for the next level.

This can jeopardise its dealings with other factions or companies.

If there's an incentive to uplink to a network, that might change things. Hacking could be automated by AI and the defence/firewall also handled by AI. So the pilot can still concentrate on fighting. But the hacking attack/defence might slow down or cut of the mecha's access to the network, and that leads to some consequences. Or the pilot would have to take on some duties of the AI while it is handling the hacking process. Doesn't have to be the pilot smashing away on a keyboard.
    Feasible? Or too far-fetched?

While I admit they would be fun, I don't see them being part of the AD world. Those would be too far from the Gundam franchise though. Probably Cowboy Bepop is the closest since it is set within the Solar System.

    Location Creation
You do not need to create a template for every location you wish to role-play in.
Location creation is for locations that will be used regularly, usually by several players. Hence, a location submission will help other players get a feel of the location that they will be role-playing in.
Military bases and space colonies can only be created for major factions. These need consent of the faction leaders.

If you treat mecha suits as airplanes of the modern age, all the connections with the outside world are through just communications, all of them are basically stand alone networked systems, same as all modern warfare land and sea based units. Though theoretically possible to hack these systems locally it would not be easy to control these units while riding on the back of them. Many series do show them hacking open the door but you can see its docked and wires coming out or done from within.
Cyberwarefare between mecha units is probably not something we should bother RPing but instead focus on standard forms of combat. It is not as exciting to describe a player typing on a keyboard and accessing code than a robot being smacked in the face with a beam sabre
