The site was popular and soon outgrew the limitations of a free, hosted forum. We decided self-host the community on our own domain. Since we were moving the site, it was the right time to make a name change.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We wanted a meaningful name. Drawing inspiration from&nbsp;<em>Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children<\/em>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<em>Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Destiny<\/em>, the founders decided on the name \u201cAdvent Destiny\u201d. It symbolises the birth of our role-play characters and the emergence of their fates.
