About

Advent Destiny is a roleplaying community that started life as SEED RPG on 4 July, 2005. The site was popular and soon outgrew the limitations of a free, hosted forum. We decided self-host the community on our own domain. Since we were moving the site, it was the right time to make a name change.

We wanted a meaningful name. Drawing inspiration from Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children and Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Destiny, the founders decided on the name “Advent Destiny”. It symbolises the birth of our role-play characters and the emergence of their fates. The name also hints at the coming of the fate of the world of Advent Destiny.

Advent Destiny went live on 1 November, 2006.
